PE teacher Chris Poole works at Manchester Young Lives, a school for students from some very deprived areas who have a range of special educational needs and emotional, behavioral and social difficulties.
Since joining the school in February Chris has worked really hard to get the students ‘turned on to the Olympics’. They have been making flags and banners to go onto the school’s London 2012 wall and there’s a real buzz as each day passes and the big day draws ever closer. As an added bonus Chris ran with the Olympic torch on Wednesday morning, cheered on by staff and students who watched his run on the big screen in the school assembly hall.
