Save our Libraries:
On Saturday the 5th February 2011, protestors from all around the UK are planning on gathering together to express their anger about the fact that 400 libraries around the country are being threatened with closure. Twitter is buzzing with supporters including @NUTonline @penguinbooks and of course @Eteach – you can find out all the latest information by typing in #savelibraries and more information about the events can be found at http://www.cilip.org.uk/get-involved/advocacy/public-libraries/Pages/savelibrariesday.aspx
Learn about Shakespeare
We became aware of a fabulous Twitter Event called #askshakespeare. This consisted of a panel of Shakespearian experts answering people’s questions about all things Shakespeare related on February 2nd. Questions varied and came from a number of sources but this showed a great opportunity to learn and be interactive in the classroom.
