The fabulous relay began on 19th May at Lands End and will pass through over 1,000 places on its 70-day journey to the opening of the Olympic Games.
While most pupils are enthusiastic onlookers, some of them, like 13 year-old Georgia Lock, have been lucky enough to carry the torch – she was nominated for her hard work at school.
The BBC is encouraging schools and young reporters to get involved and tell the story of their experiences of the torch relay. It has produced some useful School Report teacher resources including finding, writing and broadcasting their news.
